Not too long ago, I joined
It's just brilliant to be able to see some great work from other artists who use the same medium.
And also, what a special pleasure to meet some more than wonderful persons...
Right now,
have a
Self Portrait ContestNow, self portraits, I simply never did.
I did a doodle of myself once, but that's pretty much it.
It was clear that this was some kind of fear, a blockage of some sort...
Makes no sense to me.
Aaaaaanyway, I thought that, after all, it was the perfect opportunity to
break the spell, so to speak!
But you guys know me...
Some of you at least, I wasn't going to do a drawing of myself looking in the mirror, I had to find some interesting way to portray myself...
And, I must admit, I pushed it as little far...
But really, this is how I see myself at the moment.

Yea, I know what you mean.
the fact of the matters is that, the background is as much work as anything else.
I, now, take a drawing step by step.
And try to not overwhelm myself.
When it seems don, it is not done.

yeah I have to let go sometimes so I don't over work a piece and kill it! sometimes its...if I do anything else to this it won't help...done!
