There is more than one question,
But I always liked the one where you are forced to go beyond your first impression.
What is the subject of this artwork?
Is it what you see?
Or, what she paints?
or what she sees?
Are you the subject of the artwork?
Is she looking at you?
Etc....
It is a classic theme...
As for the Noble Man, this is not only a reference to a master piece that deeply influenced me on a conceptual level, but also a clin d' oeil for whomever can catch it!
